About Wissahickon Jerky Company
Our story began almost 10 years ago when two guys, Ben and Gib decided to try their hand at making beef jerky. It was meant as a delicious, hearty snack that their friends and fellow golfers could pack with them during a round of golf.
Not knowing anything about what was the “right” or “wrong” way to make jerky, Ben and Gib simply started based on their shared love of BBQ brisket. They followed their own taste and ultimately produced a product that they enjoyed, were proud of and that was uniquely theirs.

Wissahickon Park
Over the years their pure brisket beef jerky became such a hit with golfers in the Philadelphia area that the two decided to start a business producing it in small batches for others to enjoy. As Gib states, “we already had the perfect business model, a couple of guys with no experience making a product we loved and that we either ate ourselves or gave away for free to our friends. Still, we thought we could improve on it”.
Thus was born the Wissahickon Jerky Company and the result is the product you hold in your hands; small-batch, uncured brisket beef jerky with a bold flavor and satisfying chew. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
